The luxurious 5-star Muckross Park Hotel and Spa is located in Killarney's National Park. It offers elegant air-conditioned rooms, the AA Rosette winner Yew Tree Restaurant, and Major Colgan's Gastropub. What a fabulous hotel with exceptional service. Huge credit to all the staff who were so welcoming, couldn’t do more to help and always smiling. The hotel itself is stunning, from the entrance with candles & fresh flowers, the gorgeous spa, it all felt very luxe. We were offered a welcome drink whilst checking in, bags taken to our room, shown to the spa as we booked a time slot (access is free to all guests you just have to pre book a time slot) the spa was gorgeous, very quiet so even more special, inside and outside jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and lovely pool with bubble beds. The bar/lounge was so cosy with a fire and comfy sofas. We ate at the onsite pub which was lovely. I would try the onsite fine dining if coming back. Breakfast was a real treat, lovely service, great selection of buffet and cooked options (all included) the room itself was great, a nice hotel room, just didn’t have the wow factor that the rest of the hotel did. We will absolutely be returning when visiting Ireland again. Great value for money as well. The location was ideal to explore Killarney, close to the waterfalls and stunning landscapes. Where else are you going to find 6 acres of gardens in the centre of a bustling town? This is life at Great Southern Killarney, a Victorian landmark, and one of Ireland’s most beautiful hotels since 1854. Fabulous hotel. Staff is superb, hotel is very nice, well kept, and clean. Breakfast buffet fantastic. Location is a five minute walk to the action, but far enough away. Grounds are very nice with a country feel.

Guests may unwind with a range of spa treatments. The friendly and excellent staff at the hotel made our trip very enjoyable. The location is beautiful and the bar and restaurant have a nice atmosphere.

The hotel's gym, Spirit Gym, is available for residents to use free of charge. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is beautiful, clean and located near the center of town. We were able to walk quickly to the town center for shopping, pubbing and visiting local attractions. The hotel restaurants offered delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had several meals there.

The staff were welcoming and professional, and the treatment itself was excellent, leaving me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The setting overlooking the lakes is also truly special, which added to the overall experience. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would return again for another short getaway.
