Our stay at New Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield was an unforgettable escape that exceeded every expectation, leaving us with memories we’ll cherish forever. This historic moated manor, brimming with centuries-old charm, blends timeless elegance with modern luxury, creating an experience that felt both enchanting and indulgent. The grounds were absolutely impeccable, a breathtaking sweep of lush gardens and serene landscapes. Strolling through the beautifully manicured gardens, framed by the tranquil moat, felt like stepping into a fairytale. The surrounding parkland offered peaceful trails where we spotted wildlife, adding a magical touch to our walks. The moat, alive with ducks and fish, was a captivating centerpiece we couldn’t stop admiring. The food was simply divine, with every meal a celebration of flavor. The restaurant’s modern British dishes, crafted with fresh, local ingredients, were bursting with creativity and beautifully presented. From leisurely breakfasts to exquisite dinners, each bite was a delight. We also loved the cozy lounge, where we savored expertly crafted cocktails and a decadent Afternoon Tea that felt like a treat fit for royalty. The dining alone left us dreaming of our next visit. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness were beyond exceptional, making us feel truly special. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond, anticipating our needs with genuine care. Their heartfelt hospitality, echoed in so many guest reviews, made every moment shine. We were also lucky to meet a local guest, staying with his wife, who shared fascinating stories about the hotel’s rich history, bringing its legacy to life in a way that deepened our appreciation. Our room was a heavenly retreat, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The beautifully designed space, with its elegant furnishings and serene garden views, was a perfect haven for relaxation.

This independent and individual hotel has a restaurant with 2 AA Rosettes and a large adult fitness club with spa. The rooms include complimentary membership to the Fairlawns Gym. Very clean and very good service from the staff. From checking in to those working in the bar in the evening to those that serve breakfast. We didn’t have an evening meal as we went out but it’s a very good experience.

The communication with the owner was excellent from the start. On arrival, I sent a quick message and she immediately came out to greet me and direct me to where I could park, which was really helpful. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and had everything I could possibly need. I slept so well in a very comfortable bed, and the whole place was beautifully quiet. Although the property is on a residential estate in Nechells, don’t let that put you off, it’s a real hidden gem. I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely book again without hesitation.
