If you are fortunate enough to stay at Le Domaine du Castellas, you won’t regret it. The property is secluded, and once you arrive, you may not feel the need to do much touring, but that is precisely why it deserves a place in your holiday. This is not just accommodation, it is one of life’s special experiences that will stay with you for many years. The journey along the long, narrow road is soon forgotten when the property opens up before you. The views, tranquillity, beautifully appointed rooms, and exceptional service make it all worthwhile. We left already knowing we would return, something that rarely happens. The staff play a huge part in the magic here. From the talented chef to the gardening team, front of house, and the meticulous Elsa Picaud Dor, who we believe is the reason the property is so immaculate, every detail is cared for with dedication. We often come across wonderful properties with potential, but it is rare to find somewhere as special as this. If you are in the area, I would also suggest staying at Domaine Les Martins, closer to Gordes, which makes a perfect combination. David and Régis are outstanding hosts, and if you are lucky enough to find a room, you must experience their level of service. Together, these two properties offer an experience every bit as good as Airelles Gordes, La Bastide, but with far more local charm.

This boutique hotel is set amidst lavender fields in the Luberon region, 3 km from the centre of Roussillon. It was renovated in 2025 and features a spa where you can enjoy a hammam and whirlpool. The location was between Gorde and Lucion so convenient to go to the two towns and the hotel pool and wet sauna were very excellent. The owner couple was really kind and listened to everything we wanted. Beautiful scenery, breakfast, comfortable bedding, everything was perfect. Also this hotel interior was very good. I highly recommend you to stay at this hotel.

Located in the hilltop village of Gordes, Airelles Gordes, La Bastide features 18th century décor and offers panoramic views over the Luberon valley from its many terraces and hanging gardens. Exceptional hospitality and attention to details. We were smothered with care and daily gifts. The quality of every service was impeccable. The staff were so welcoming and kind. The concierge was very helpful in helping us manauver the Provence.
