Perched on the shores of the Baltic Sea, Estonia is home to the best-preserved medieval city in Europe – the capital of Tallinn. With over 1,500 islands, you’ll also encounter unusually rustic beaches which are best enjoyed during the short summer period between mid-June and late August. A stroll through the fairy-tale Old Town of Tallinn will make you feel as if you’ve time travelled back to the Middle Ages. Lined with medieval manor houses and ancient churches, the city is still largely enclosed by its 13th-century walls. The stunning town square hosts a historic market place as well as open-air concerts, cafés and medieval festivals. Lahemaa National Park can be reached within an hour from Tallinn and offers hikes through dense forests and pretty villages. To soak up Estonia’s island vibe, take a jaunt out to Saaremaa – the country’s largest island and home to the famous Bishop’s Castle. Tallinn has hotels galore, but if you’re after something a little different then you can also book a stay in historic manors and cosy woodland cabins.

We were checked in earlier since the room was available. The room was comfortable, with a nice interior and a welcoming drink - water. The bed and pillows were also worth mentioning. The bathroom was pretty small but equipped with good soap, shower gel, and shampoo. Due to our room selection, coffee, tea, and some sweets were always available in the lobby. The breakfast was served as a buffet and was super nutritious and tasty.
The location is good too. We travelled without a car, and it was important for us to have easy access to the nearby ski resort, so it was just a 20-minute walk and a few minutes from the city center.
So, overall, I highly recommend this place, and if I visit Otepää again, I will definitely stay here. The place is very quite and peaceful.
The service was extremely friendly, and we even received a gift - a jar of honey. Thank you very much!

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away.
Guest review
The Antonius was a grand and exceptionally fine hotel. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. There were two comfortable armchairs in which to relax. The bathroom was huge and had a walk-in shower as well as a clawfoot bathtub. The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and our view was of the historic 17th-century university. The sites of Tartu were easily reached on foot from this ideally located hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We asked to change our room from a lower floor to a higher floor and were accommodated immediately. Breakfast was delicious and served in a charming medieval room with stone walls, arched ceiling and a large skylight. There was a sumptuous buffet with high-quality items, such as quiche, smoked salmon and sparkling wine, as well as great choices from the a la carte menu. We had an outstanding meal one evening at the Antonius Hotel. We were the only guests and our charming young waitress was kind, professional and knowledgeable. This hotel was superb value and we would recommend it 100% for people visiting Tartu.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding- we have travelled extensively, but this by far surpassed any other buffet that we have had at a hotel. The bedding was exceptional and the room set up was so lovely!

Though we arrived late( athens-frankfurt, frankfurt-talin, then train to rakveere), reception was there waiting for us( super bonus for a traveller), giving us all the informations asked for everything! Superb breakfast! We had room 25 with an enormous cornered window, giving us panoramic view of the snowey ground. Villa Theresa is located in a forest( 5euros by taxi from the town center). Its like a fairytale cabin. Clean, relaxing, calm! Thank you for your hospitality!

A tiny, charming three-floor house in the heart of Polignano! The first two floors are bedrooms — one with a toilet — and the third floor is a kitchenette with a bathroom. The rooftop opens to a great view with a big swing — a perfect place to enjoy the late evening.
