This hotel sits RIGHT on the lake and it was a breeze to walk down to the lovely lounge chairs and jump into the water. (The most clean and beautiful lake I have ever been in!) Our room overlooked the lake. It was a wonderful room with full amenities, a lot of extra space, comfy beds and even a fan. (We were there during a VERY hot spell and most other hotels didn’t have fans and NONE had air conditioning.) The balcony door stayed open all night long due to the heat without bug in sight! Just an amazing feeling space all the way around. We ate both lunch and dinner at the patio restaurant and enjoyed very well prepared meals with polite and knowledgeable servers. There were no rules about swimming in the lake, like there often is in the US, so we also went swimming again after dinner. I cannot wait to go back again, especially since we realized upon check out that they also rent bikes! Parking was free and super easy to get to.

This welcoming hotel is situated beside Icking S-Bahn station, offering direct links to central Munich. Its rooms provide free WLAN and wonderful views of the Alps and Tölzer Land.
