The bridge directly into the forest was an instant immersion into to Schwarzwald. We also took advantage of the wellness program and did qi-jong in the fresh air and reminded ourselves to slow down and breathe! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Big shout out to our waitress Anna too.

And there is great food available for breakfast and served for dinner. The hotel is run by a family which creates a great atmosphere and services are delivered with great care and pride. It is relatively easy to travel to Hinterzarten by public transport and the hotel is within 10 mins walk from the railway station. The forest trails start within less than 100 meters from the hotel. There are great many forest walks and lots of things to do in the area.
