There are plentiful hiking options around the resort, and quiet areas near the pools where one can read in peace in the afternoon. The food was very good. The breakfast was exceptional, with numerous options and plenty of beautiful spaces to view the surrounding grounds. Dinners offered good seasonal and local specialties. All staff we encountered were friendly and very professional. We did not use the cosmetic services in the beauty clinic, but I did have an excellent Thai massage with a brilliant masseuse associated with the resort (ask about this before arriving).
