And we just stayed there, as a family of four and our dog. What do we love about it ? The location is magnificent, it is on the plateau at the top of the mountain, you feel like you are on top of the world, it is a recently built mountain chalet, and done in a beautiful style, we had the half board and the breakfast and evening meal were absolutely perfect. The hotel is run by the owner who is very friendly and very helpful with local knowledge, where to hike, where to stop for lunch. In the evening you have beautiful sunsets with views which stretch for tens of miles, at night there is a quietness which cannot be matched. We need to explore Pec more, and we will be staying here again next time and using it as our base. What more to say, Hotel Vydrovy boudy Pec pod Sněžkou is a gem, enjoy it.

Guests at Hotel Lesní dům can enjoy a buffet breakfast. The hotel is little older, but the value for money is great and the staff friendly attitude compensates for any little downsides. The restaurant is great, I just recommend to make prior reservation, as they were full every evening, which is just another proof of good quality. The location is perfect for a family with small kids who want to learn to ski, as it is right next to small slopes which also have kids parks with belt lifts and plenty of ski rentals and ski schools. The room was big and have a lot of storage spaces, which is hard to find nowadays. A lot of parking space. We will be back definitely.
