Responsive staff. Very much liked the horseback ride to Arenal volcano through the forest, crossing rivers and swamps. Would not have gotten there on our own. Be sure to wear closed shoes and pants. Also liked the deep tissue massage. The girls are professionals, with knowledge of their business. Thermal springs as an additional bonus after an active day

Featuring mountain views, Wellness Park CR features accommodation with patio, around 22 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. The holiday home also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. It was very cosy and a nice retreat. You wake up in a park with hummingbirds in front of your door and a great view of the volcano. Then you can hike the Park trails (ca.3h) and experience a hidden jungle, waterfall with a lot of fauna. Also there is a cool viewpoint where you can get a photo of the volcano and the jungle.

The staff are absolutely amazing and friendly, and our room was spacious and had its own hot tub which was fun. There are also public hot and cold tubs you can use. The meals are delicious. The cacao tour is great and the chocolate making workshop was the best we've done anywhere. It was raining non-stop our entire stay, but it wasn't so bad because we really enjoyed hanging around the hotel.

I saw sloths! toucans! on so many hikes by myself and with guides. All informative hikes.
