(92 ft.) wildlife observation tower, The Nest. Arenal Lake is an excellent site to practice sports fishing. There are also 11 km of walking trails throughout the property, or guests can just relax in the hot tub or have a massage in the spa. I wanted accommodation were we could see plenty of wildlife and be surrounded by nature. Arenal Observatory Lodge exceeded out expectations. We saw beautiful birds everywhere along with other wildlife. We considered the drive back to La Fortuna to be relatively easy, so did not mind that it was a little bit out of the way. Excellent breakfast and very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommend that horse trek here as well.

The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom with large plan and skylight was lovely. The buggy to and from reception was a lovely touch.

Featuring mountain views, Wellness Park CR features accommodation with patio, around 22 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. The holiday home also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. What a wonderful surprise! The park is much larger than you would think and has so much to explore and do. Very impressive place. Very relaxing. The rooms are a generous size with comfortable beds. The property is big with lots to see. Since it’s not a place with a lot of rooms, it feels very private and quiet. The family of gentlemen that manage and run the place were great with communication and helping find guides for tours and even getting a birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday that happened while we were staying there. Fantastic place. Great communication. Terrific team of people managing and helping. This would also be a great place for a small group retreat or family trip. It’s close to Arenal and La Fortuna without the crowds, hustle and bustle of those areas.

Spa and wellness facilities are at guests' disposal during their stay at the accommodation, including a hot tub and on-request massage treatments. We had a great stay! Great breakfast, beautiful grounds and attentive staff. We wish our stay was longer!

Some units also have a kitchenette, equipped with a microwave and toaster. Bed linen is offered. We had exceptional time. All staff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinners are amazing. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. The farm offers several activities like hot tube each day, farm tour or chocolate workshop, all great things to do with even small children. We travelled with a three year old, all our needs were accomodated and we all felt very comfortable. Hospitality of Finca Amistad is amazing, thank you!

Offering an outdoor pool and spa centre, Finca Luna Nueva Lodge is set in Fortuna in the Alajuela Region, 26 km from Monteverde. The farm stay has a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Finca Luna is the perfect balance between environmentally friendly establishment and luxury and comfort. The nature (vegetation and animals from iguanas to sloths)around the hotel compound is amazing and gives lots of options to explore. The staff is wonderful and ready to help and support all your needs, including tours in the area. Our favorite was childrens eternal rainforest hike. The restaurant serves mostly food prepared with homegrown vegetables and fruits through regenerative farming. The accommodation we had was Casa Deluxe and it had everything you need. Swimmingpool is always accesible to relax, and it is cleaned with ozon, so no chlorine, which is fantastic. For practical matters, the internet through wifi worked fantastic (happy kids), and the cost of food was ok, but if you want to explore other restaurant options in the area, you need a car. Overall, Finca was the best place we have ever stayed. Hope to be back someday.

Each functional and simple room here will provide you with a flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a seating area. The Bathrooms are fully equipped with private stand up shower . The mattresses are made of memory foam material and covered by 400 thread count linen. Great staff and location, happy to accomodate early day trips with sandwiches to go or packed breakfast when we got back late morning. Room was well equipped, had fridge. Good view of volcano.

You can enjoy the mountain and garden views. The whole atmosphere was so beautiful and peaceful. The staff were friendly and kind. Loved the animals, especially the cute piggy, walking around. The hot spring area is superb - after long hike in the rain forests, we relaxed in the hot spring. The bar in the area served variety of drinks and dishes - all tasty.
