Just got back from Hotel Fahrnberger and I gotta say - it was fantastic! Even though the buildings there are very old (foundations from the 14th century, they say), you'd never know it once you're inside. The rooms are clean, cozy, and the best part - you can sleep like a baby, no noise at all. Sauna Heaven After a day of skiing, nothing beats their wellness area. They have 3 different saunas and a nice relaxation room. And when you want to cool down? Just run outside into the snow! Bit of a shock, but the feeling afterward is amazing! And if the hotel's wellness area isn't enough for you, you can visit the nearby Ybbstaler Solebad baths (https://www.ybbstaler-solebad.at). The Food Was Amazing Breakfast? Awesome! The buffet had everything you could think of, and everything was fresh and tasty. The best part was being able to order eggs made any way you want - that was a great start to each day. The dinners were even better! We ordered those 4-course dinners and they were worth every penny. Something different every night and everything was so well prepared that we couldn't stop eating! Great Location The hotel is in a quiet spot, so no hustle and bustle. And what's great - the Hochkar ski slopes are super close. Morning to the slopes, evening back to the hotel, no long drives.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful hills and fields around 10 minutes from any village of note which is great for peace/quiet, excellent for star gazing - be sure to catch sunrise/sunset! The surrounding area is well kept and perfect for a little stroll around. It's a very authentic feel to the extent that female staff wear traditional clothing, everyone is so helpful and friendly - special shoutout to the excellent Ivan. There's food and drinks readily available, long hours. Spa facilities - the brave can swim in the lake, there is an indoor pool which has an outdoor part too, a very well equipped gym & sauna. The spa area is open early didn't close until 11pm. Very easy parking.
