What an amazing experience once again at this absolute gem of a boutique hotel. The feeling of serenity, surrounded by one of the most beautiful areas in the world, is unsurpassed. Dirk and his team simply do everything to make one feel destressed and most comfortable.

Set within a 100-hectare farm, Summerfields has riverside rooms with outdoor showers. The pool, open-air spa area and restaurant are by Sabie River, where hippos bathe at dusk.

Before we reach the hotel, we drive through the avocado and macadamia plantation that belongs to the estate. Upon arrival, Tracey, the owner of Highgrove House, is waiting for us for a warm welcome, refreshing towels and a welcome drink. Tracey passionately talks about the history of the family business and shows us the beautiful gardens and main building. You imagine yourself in a bygone era. We notice that attention to detail will be the guiding principle for our stay here when we receive a tour and are escorted to our suite. Literally everything has been thought of. Over the past few days we have been spoiled culinary and we have really enjoyed the peace and nature. Nothing was too much for the team of Highgrove. We wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back!

It was great! Beautiful room, great shower and beds, lovely staff. Convenient location. Our breakfast package was incredible: everything super tastfull and a lot: we used it for breakfast and lunch in Kruger! Also the coffee options in the room (Nespresso and plunger) we appreciated a lot.

“Bushbaby Valley Lodge” lovely location, was a little further than we though but worth the effort. We stayed 5 nights, and the staff were fantastic, accommodation was more than ample, clean, and tidy. Thoroughly recommend “Bushbaby Valley Lodge”.
