I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at Hotel Domogled. It was my first time in Baile Herculane, and I was looking for a quiet, restful place. Hotel Domogled did not disappoint. A lot of the clientele is there to take advantage of the various balneotherapy procedures performed in the onsite clinic. There's also a swimming pool open to all the hotel guests. I had a double room with a balcony on the 4th floor with a gorgeous view of the park in front, flanked by mountains. The room was newly furnished, luminous, quiet, and very clean. The bathroom was in good working order, clean, and big enough not to feel crammed. There is a buffet restaurant on the premises where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. The menu is well selected (mostly Romanian dishes), there is plenty of variety (at least three choices of soups, meats, and side dishes), and the quality of the food is consistently good. My room included breakfast, but after trying their lunch menu once, I had most of my lunches in there, paying separately. Try it once. You might be coming back. The atmosphere is quiet; no loud music, no loud guests, no parties at midnight. The personnel both in the restaurant and at reception are friendly, attentive, polite, and patient.

I loved the place overall, the breakfast and the dinner, the friendly staff as well as the facilities. Another big plus was that it was not crowded, so the SPA area felt private and we really got to relax more.

Location and view was excellent. Staff very kind and wiling to help all the time. Pool was fabulous and the view from the pool is amazing. Also the pool therapeutic water is a dream. Very clean and nice. Overall is an excellent place .
