Absolutely deserves to be in the list "The leading hotels of the world". Stunning design, top architecture and the most beautiful plants everywhere! We loved our spacious room with a sea and swimming pool views. Very professional and attentive to all detailes stuff. The most beautiful skyroof terrace and swimming pool ever! All restaurants serve great food for reasonable prices. We travel the world around and this amazing hotel could manage to surprise us!

Breakfast was great, even had filter coffee. Staff always very friendly, nice and helpful. Great, big room with big balcony.

The breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruits and bakery every day. Pool area with a really amazing view and exceptionally good cocktails.

Everything was elegant and top quality, so much attention to detail that made our stay feel so luxurious. We had a suite with garden access, with a large veranda area. The whole suite was very spacious and very comfortable. Service and support was top notch! Breakfast views from the Avista restaurant are stunning. The food was excellent, and we would highly recommend having lunch and dinner there if time allows. We had access to the facilities of the Cliff Bay hotel next door, wish we had more time to make full use of everything on offer!

Everything! Staff were great and location was 30 seconds to the old town with a ton of restaurant options. All the staff from the front desk to Carlos and Jose in the bar were extremely friendly and great at their jobs! Would definitely stay here again.

The location is a perfect distance from downtown (Bolt/taxi or longer walk), Lido, Pingo grocery stores, and to Sao Martinho, where we visited Madeira friends. Plus, the hotel is just down one street level, accessed by a staircase to the right, that has great restaurants. Pools and grounds, including an orchard garden, and sunset views are incredible. Additionally, there is live music every night. The 4 foot flower arrangements in the lobbies are beautiful! One of our favourite places to stay on the island because of its lovely large grounds which also escapes the noise of island traffic. Lot's of hot water too. Highly recommend!

A Fairytale Stay at Reid’s Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira Now I truly understand why Reid’s Palace is part of the Belmond collection—this isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience of pure luxury and timeless elegance. From the moment we booked, we knew we were in for something special, but we never imagined it would be this extraordinary. Even before we arrived, the hospitality had already begun. The hotel manager personally reached out to check on our arrival time, ask if we needed help planning activities, and ensure everything was perfect for our stay. That level of thoughtfulness already set the tone. Then, our flight got canceled, and we arrived much later than expected—past midnight. But despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us warmly, gave us a quick and seamless check-in, and personally escorted us to our room. And that’s when the magic truly began. Luxury Beyond Expectations Waiting for us in our room was a bottle of champagne and a handwritten personal note—a gesture that already made us feel incredibly special. But then, as if that wasn’t enough, bouquets of fresh flowers kept arriving, filling the room with beauty and fragrance. We were stunned. And just when we thought we had seen it all, we discovered a special anniversary cake waiting for us. We almost felt guilty for having eaten before arriving! Honestly, if you’re ever considering staying anywhere else—don’t. This hotel is in a league of its own. Every single detail is handled with grace, warmth, and absolute perfection. A Breakfast to Remember The next morning, we woke up to one of the most incredible breakfasts we’ve ever had. Fresh exotic fruits, a luxurious spread of food, impeccable service—it felt like stepping into an old-world European dream, straight out of a classic film. Every moment at breakfast felt elegant and indulgent, like something out of a different era where hospitality was an art form.

Overall a fab hotel, spotless clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely ambiance, great staff and great location, will definitely return

The whole stay in the hotel was an exceptional experience.The expectations from the photos and reviews were high, but the reality even exceeded it. The staff was always kind, smiling, explained everything perfectly and was always helpful. My greatest admiration goes to the staff at the Rose Garden Restaurant, who even when they are busy around other guests, make your visit a unique moment. The half board accommodation was absolutely worth it. The breakfasts are rich in fresh food and the selection varied even slightly. Dinners consist of a three course menu and there is a choice in each course. However, the dining experience is beyond description, what a perfect interplay of flavours the local chefs are able to create. The cherry on top of our stay was the perfect area with nooks and crannies where one could sit and relax in peace. Madeira is a beautiful island, I would not have enjoyed my holiday so much without the quality and peaceful facilities. I will be happy to return.

Words simply cannot convey how wonderful our experience was. The resort is stunning, the service is superior, the food is extraordinary, and there are so many thoughtful and meaningful touches that make this truly an experience instead of just a vacation. We received champagne, scrumptious desserts. The hotel staff quickly memorized our names and always greeted us warmly. Thanks to Luis(team), Sergio, Vanessa and Diana. The food is the absolute best we've ever eaten. We didn't want to leave and are already thinking about a return trip in the coming months!
