Everything is amazing. The pools are heated, the rooftop is great!

Staffs are very friendly and helpful! Their response to my questions before and during my stay were always quick and helpful. Martin and two ladies at the front desk provided me many good sightseeing suggestions. On my husband"s birthday a fresh chocolate cake was delivered to the room. Breakfast buffet is really good. The day after Christmas we had the delicious buffet dinner with lamb chop and duck entrees. I wish we could have stayed longer to view the new year Eve famous fireworks.

The staff including Managers were very pleasant, accommodating and spoke perfect english. We travelled with our family of seven using 3 rooms. The breakfast was fantastic offering, cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, coffees and my favourite freshly squeezed orange juice to name a few items. Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Separate large rooms for both the toilet and walk in shower. We had a great view of the sea port where the cruise ships were docked. The Vine has the best location in Funchal and is an easy walk to many attractions. This was my second visit to the Vine.

We stayed at this hotel for part of our honeymoon and loved our experience. The property was beautiful, the views spectacular, staff helpful and kind, room spacious and clean, and food fresh and delicious. We loved being able to hear the waves against the cliffs and the birds chirping. It's also helpful to note that you can benefit from using the amenities at the sister property next door as well.

The perfect base for exploring Madeira. The Residence Porto Mare – Porto Bay is an absolutely stunning place. We enjoyed every second of our stay. It was magical from start to finish. A warm and friendly welcome at reception. The reception staff were very kind to us, took our luggage to our room and helped us navigate the huge grounds. We had a studio room, spacious and very comfortable with good furniture. Large terrace with table and chairs, and in front of it a garden with sun loungers. The kitchen-studio was equipped with everything you need to prepare dinner. The beds are huge and the mattresses are very comfortable for a great night's sleep. The room is spotlessly clean, cleaned every day. A special mention goes to the housekeeper Zite Figueira. Her cheerful attitude and cheerful laughter made our stay even more enjoyable. We celebrated my wife's birthday in the Alfama a la carte restaurant. The food was excellent and the manager of the restaurant Paulo and his whole team made my wife's day unforgettable. The cake with candles and congratulations from the staff was great. The hotel staff also congratulated us with champagne in the room. We would like to thank everyone. It was a wonderful surprise. I must say that all the staff of the residence are very friendly, polite, diligent and helpful. The breakfast staff was always professional, despite being very busy. The breakfast in the Atlantida restaurant, "buffet", was very good. The quality of the food is excellent. Beautiful well-kept green area, beautiful gardens, great pools, jacuzzi, gym, "happy hour"! There are enough places on the sun loungers. Supermarket and shopping center next door. Lido nearby. Many restaurants and bars around Everything was perfect for our stay. We had a great time. The Hotel and staff were excellent and very friendly, a bit limited for children's activities but they enjoyed it, it is a more grown ups hotel. It was also close to the main town.

We loved the hotel’s rural setting, high above Funchal, its old world luxury, and the quality of service offered by the staff. Best of all was the direct access to the extraordinary adjacent Palheiro garden. A very special hotel.
