Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.

Our stay at The Divine Villa Thalpe was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and care — Christophe, the owner, has truly created something special here. His attention to detail and passion for hospitality shine through in every corner of the villa. The house itself is absolutely stunning — a beautiful blend of modern luxury and serene tropical charm. The interior design is beautiful. Every room was meticulously designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the view of the lush gardens and pool felt like a dream. The staff were beyond amazing — thoughtful, professional, and always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was flawless. From the delicious meal (we took the breakfast but now wish we’d had more meals there) to the little touches throughout the day, everything was handled with grace and genuine care. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape in Sri Lanka, The Divine Villa Thalpe is just perfect. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Christophe and team for an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

We were welcomed by the host who was so friendly & professional. We arrived earlier than check in as our flight was at an earlier time but the hotel were great & offered us breakfast whilst they prepared the room…it was ready for us 3 hours prior to check in which was perfect as we were tired from our long travel. We had a little frog in the room when we arrived but the staff came quickly as soon as we told them & they removed it carefully. Everything was perfect during our stay, the facilities, the staff, the food…it was all so lovely. We loved that we could see monkey’s jumping from tree to tree around the property & big lizards roam around the grounds occasionally which was very cool! Yoga mats are kept on a rack by the pool, which you can use freely when you wish…nice touch! The price of the food in the hotel was a little more expensive than other places in Sri Lanka but actually was very reasonable price for the quality of it. We were celebrating our anniversary & the hotel went the extra mile to make our stay special. We had a private dinner in the sky bar and had the burger & tuna dishes. The burger was one of the best burgers i have ever had, so delicious! We also visited the spa & enjoyed our time there with massage/ facial/ herbal bath looking out to the sea, so wonderful. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, I hope we can visit again in the future! :-)

The room was excellent, comfortable, stylish. Staff where so helpful, they ran out with umbrellas for us in the pooring rain. The chef is absolutely amazing, we ate the best chicken wings of our lives!! Thank-you to Shafras who works there for ensuring a comfortable stay. Staff friendly and easy going. Location is a bit far from town but worth it, right in the jungle with monkeys around, silent when you wake up, only a few rooms so never too many people around the pool. Very clean.

Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.
