Our arrival at Karpaha Sands was met with a warm reception from Umberto and his team, who demonstrated exceptional friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency. Rather than a traditional check-in at the reception desk, we were promptly directed to the bar, a thoughtful and welcoming gesture. The property itself is impeccably clean and meticulously maintained, set within a serene and picturesque environment. Mr. Nishanathan, our dedicated butler, provided outstanding assistance and efficiency, contributing significantly to our sense of relaxation. The hotel offers premium amenities and toiletries, enhancing the overall guest experience. While the location is rural, the pristine white sandy beach and tranquil surroundings perfectly aligned with our expectations. Karpaha Sands features its own restaurant, bar, and swimming pool, all of which provide fresh and delectable food and beverages. Our room was ideally situated approximately 100 meters from the sea, offering convenient access. We also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi and pool access. Umberto and his team ensured our stay at Karpaha Sands was thoroughly relaxing and left us with a highly positive impression. We highly recommend this property. We will definitely return.

Huge shoutout to the Ayurvedic Doctor who took amazing care of my friend of I who just got food poisoning ! She made special meals for us so we could eat safely and kept checking on us and giving us tips to get better fast (which worked out). Staff is lovely. Beach and pool are great. Room is clean and comfortable. Gym is clean and well equipped. Food is decent.

Beautiful resort with amazing location just by the ocean and amazing beach.The hotel quard was always present by the beach, so we could safely keep our stuff there end enjoying the ocen for hours. I appreciate spacious rooms, fast roomservice, great cleanliness and always helpful staff. The food buffet was excellent. Thank you and looking forward to our next stay here. 🙂

For our second visit to Passikudah we chose Anantaya Resort and we couldn't have chosen better. From the first moment to the end we were looked after by the friendly staff, especially Rishopana and Kanogitha. We booked this resort for a room with direct access to the pool and we were lucky to get perhaps the nicest room. But what makes this resort special is the people who work here. We also spoke with the friendly beach/pool attendant S. and likewise the waiters and cooks at breakfast and dinner did everything they could to make the guests happy. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. My husband was delighted that the waiters here could spin a beer with a foam cap. The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly too. Free sunbeds on the beach. Beautiful beach and walks. If we had not booked another stay before, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back here soon!

The owners and manager were both lovely. Sunil offered to drive us around the nearby shops and beach, and gave us a great local experience! My friend and I got sick from a restaurant and the hotel staff were very accommodating in helping us get better and organising dinner and breakfast for us. The manager made sure we had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay, and also organised a driver for us to get to Arugam Bay!
