This hotel stands out in so many ways! Firstly, the food is simply extraordinary, offering a menu with great variety. What stands out the most, is the fact they only serve freshly caught fish and seafood, crafting dishes that offer exceptional value for money. Every meal felt wonderfully generous, with complimentary starters, plentiful bread baskets, and a variety of options. The breakfast is equally impressive, featuring unlimited à la carte choices, superb bread baskets, fresh croissants, and an abundance of juices and lassis. We stayed in two very spacious beach-front tents, which were fantastic. The common areas, including the bar and dining area, provided stunning views and were beautifully designed. The beach itself was vast and pristine, with no other hotels or properties in sight. The entire hotel is a marvel of thoughtful design, with every detail carefully chosen. Finally, the staff, led by Umberto, the Italian General Manager, were outstanding from the moment we arrived until our departure. Each member of the team, from the waiters to our butler, was incredibly friendly and attentive to detail. Umberto the GM who is a former chef, is deeply involved with the culinary offerings, elevating the dining experience to new heights. The standard set by this hotel is unparalleled, particularly in terms of value for money. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay!

This place was truly amazing. The facilities were top notch and the staff was super friendly. The room was big and spacious and we loved the bathroom with an open ceiling! Everyone was determined to let us have the best vacation, as we did.

Great hotel, beautiful views and good food. We really enjoyed our stay here. The beach is also very clean and nice. Highly recommend the spa and especially Kavitha Asanga who helped me regenerate with her amazing massage and service. Robinson, Pinimal and Ruben all took care of us very well and made our stay special!

This resort is very aptly named: an oasis of peace and tranquility in a gorgeous spot. The room was clean and spacious, and we could access the pool directly from our patio. The swimming pool is beautiful, with a shallower area for toddlers as well. The he beach was pristine, and we felt safe enough to leave all our belongings on the beach lounge chairs while swimming / taking a walk. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Just an absolute tropical dream. The hotel is very beautiful and feels very relaxed to be in. The spaces are thoughtful and there are lots of places to lounge and relax so you feel like you are on a private retreat even with other guests. Our favourite part was the loungers under big beautiful native trees on the beach. They are tucked under trees but right on the water so you can swim in the ocean and then lay in the shade and drink mango juice 👌 their spot on the beach is also more peaceful and secluded than some of the other resorts. The staff were very generous and kind! We are vegan and their chef catered easily for us. They also just made the most heavenly dishes - their buffets (breakfast and dinner) are 10/10 the food was so good. We can't rate it high enough - it was a surprise favourite stop for us on our trip! Very peaceful and just what we needed.

For our second visit to Passikudah we chose Anantaya Resort and we couldn't have chosen better. From the first moment to the end we were looked after by the friendly staff, especially Rishopana and Kanogitha. We booked this resort for a room with direct access to the pool and we were lucky to get perhaps the nicest room. But what makes this resort special is the people who work here. We also spoke with the friendly beach/pool attendant S. and likewise the waiters and cooks at breakfast and dinner did everything they could to make the guests happy. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. My husband was delighted that the waiters here could spin a beer with a foam cap. The room was very nice and clean. The pool was cleaned regularly too. Free sunbeds on the beach. Beautiful beach and walks. If we had not booked another stay before, we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back here soon!
