Amazing place with a fantastic view, very quite, large rooms, comfortable beds and a host who will help with absolutely everything, and finally an incredibly good breakfast and dinners. We spent unforgettable days here with friends.

We have never experienced such kindness and genuine warmth from the staff before. The gentleman was incredibly helpful, even drawing us a map and thoroughly explaining the route so we wouldn’t get lost on our hike to Ella Rock. Additionally, he arranged a tuk-tuk to town on a rainy day and prepared the most delicious breakfasts we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the quiet surroundings made it perfect for relaxing after our mountain adventures.

The Arawe Retreat is a magical place where you can relax in the midst of the forest. The villa is spacious and the staff are the nicest people! Also the food provided was amazing.

Fantastic staff members and nice view from the terrace. Also great restaurant there. It was easy to reach by foot Nine arch bridge and Little Adams peak.

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you arrive, the hosts make you feel at home – they are incredibly attentive, ensuring you have everything you need for a perfect stay. They always welcome you with a smile and kindness. It is a wonderful family who will make you feel like a part of it. The entire place is spotless, with a fresh and modern feel, as everything is new, including the appliances. Comfort is clearly a priority here – the mattress is wonderfully cosy, and the crisp, clean sheets make for a great night’s sleep. Thoughtful little touches, like plenty of sockets for your devices and bedside lamps with warm lighting, create a relaxing ambience, something you don’t always find in other accommodations. Hot water is always available, and every detail has been carefully considered to make your stay as comfortable as possible. And then there’s the food – homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Every meal is a treat. But the true highlight? The stunning balcony with breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush trees, and the soothing sounds of birds singing. Watching the sunset from here is pure magic. The location is just perfect – tucked away from the main road and the touristy hustle and bustle of Ella, so you can enjoy total peace and quiet, with no traffic noise to disturb you. It is located in Kithal Ella which is a walking distance from Ella with beautiful views or just a short tuk-tuk ride if you don't want to walk. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and truly welcoming place to stay, this is it. Do yourself a favour and book this place – you won’t want to leave!

Very clean. The bed sheets were super clean and comfortable. The room was really good considering the humidity around. The room and bathroom were very clean. The owner was super nice and friendly. He welcomed us with some tea and biscuits. He sent us places to visit without the intention of selling anything. The place is 15 minutes walking or you can get there by Tuk Tuk (around 400) or the owner can pick you up. He actually drove us to the next destination and we met with him in the city and he brought our backpacks. We felt safe, comfortable and the place is really quiet and calm. The views are spectacular. If you are looking for being close to Ella but at the same time some peace this is the place.

Everything was perfect. This is a really new hotel, that's why there is not much comments but you can go there to relax, enjoy the amazing View (sunrise from the bed) , eat the delicious fresh breakfast. Hosts were just super nice ! Also they have tuktuk so they bring you wherever you want. Thanks for this amazing stay ! It was better than expected !
