Really good place to stay. We extended and stayed for 7 nights. The beds are big and very comfortable - showers are hot and the a/c is good. Rooms are super clean and big. GREATEST VIEW from the rooftop. And the best part is the staff and the owner. Everybody is so nice and kind. We loved to stay there and wish we could have stayed for longer :-)

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. We travelled as a family with a 6mth old baby and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Bottles and baby cutlery etc washed every day and our baby was treated like royalty! The food is very good and very good value. We went half board which is recommended. The set menu in the evenings is good but may be a tad repetitive if staying more than 4/5 days or if you don't like fish or curry!! A special mention to Thejani in the restaurant, she was simply fantastic, helpful and made us feel so welcome, likewise with Samantha. Chamindi and the team at reception were always so helpful and welcoming.

I had a very good stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The location is convenient, close to Kabalana Beach, which made it easy to get around. Overall, it was a nice experience and good value for the money. I would be happy to stay here again.

Phoenix House is the most lovely accommodation I have had the privilege of staying at in Sri Lanka! The place has such style and charm - being both a serene little haven and still only a short walk from many shops and cafes. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the on-site chef makes incredible food cooked with love. There are healing practices on offer as well as beautiful events to partake in, and the rooftop space is wonderful to relax, do yoga or watch sunset. The place is peaceful and close to nature without being too far away from activities - the beach is right across the road. I would definitely recommend Phoenix House as a place to stay if you want a tranquil getaway in a welcoming and uplifting environment 💛

Absolutely beautiful natural surroundings that create the perfect setting to relax and unwind. The whole team of staff are so friendly and attentive and offer a warm and friendly personal service. The food is absolutely out of this world and made to order depending on what you like to eat. You can do as much or as little as you like here as guests are encouraged to do exactly what makes them happiest, which is a refreshing approach. I almost didn’t want to write this review as it was so amazing, I selfishly want to keep it a secret… but it’s too good not to share :)

Absolutely everything! By a long way the best place we stayed anywhere in sri lanka. Stylish, relaxing, everything spotlessly clean, lovely chilled muic playing throughout, all of the staff couldn't be more helpful and on hand for your every need. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with high quality furnishings and toiletries, felt bit like you were in a spa. Ahanghama was one of our favourite places on our trip and definitely our favourite on the coast and the staff and owners had some excellent recommendations for our time there for delicious food and lovely sunset drinks!
