This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

Service and facilities are awesome. Location is great. Near to the historic centre (10/15 minutes walking), and close to a supermarket and a broad selection of restaurants. Breakfast is great, with fresh fruit and good products.

This hotel exceeded all our expectations - the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Providing the very best in customer service & having an attention to detail that is second to none is clearly their priority. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade upon arrival & the junior suite allocated was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is immaculate & in an amazing position - just a two minute walk from The Duomo. We even purchased the Acqua di Elba room fragrance on display in the reception area just to remind us upon our return home & were delighted to receive some free samples & a small gift as a result of mentioning the hotel at the shop. The experience in Villa Sull’arno was outstanding! The staff, the room, the building itself, the garden, the spa. There is a shuttle service to the city center, which is a great idea, although we preferred to use the bikes this time and it was a lot of fun and a good way to get around the city. They are in every detail! We would love to come back!

If you want to request any supplies for the room, the response is very fast, unlike the five-star hotels I have stayed in, which are very slow, like on vacation! This hotel is the best in the world that I have ever encountered in terms of catering, ability to solve difficult problems, service standards, and staff quality! Including its Renaissance design, it is a rare museum!

The location is perfect, central but quiet, 3-5 min to any of the Florence landmarks! Really fantastic! The personal is very friendly, polite and professional. The ambience is nice, interiors are amazing. The room was big and qiuet, bed was perfect, the room equipment works properly. Highly recommend to all!
