Manager Biagio and the staff made our stay very enjoyable. We arrived late in the day, and upon request received a platter of local Italian food items. The restaurant is very above average. My standing lamb ribs were excellent.The room was large and very clean. We highly recommend The Magic Hotel.

Wonderful location in the countryside above the village of Atena Lucana. The warmest possible welcome. The surprise was that this is a farm that cultivates ancient grains -- not only used in all their baked goods and pastas, but giving the names to each of its 6 rooms. It's the type of place we love and we plan to return to have at least a meal in their beautiful restaurant with its spectacular views of the hills. The room was immaculately clean, linens were lovely, bed was not the most comfortable -- this was the only minus. A charming place over all.

The pool was excellent, clean, fresh and in a sheltered spot at the side of the hotel. Everywhere was very clean and the staff, a delight. The bed most comfortable. Melita, on reception made us welcome and was very helpful.

Good location for us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet rural situation. We were their only overnight guests that night so had the place to ourselves. Its a funky pool with some interesting features, just long enough for a swim too. Inexpensive. Would come back and visit again.

The property is located in a small village nearby picturesque woods and a famous regional attraction - a hanging cable bridge. The room we stayed was large and furnished with imagination. There was a balcony with lovely view to the mountain and the bridge. Hosts were a nice couple, who were very helpful giving full detail were we can go dinner and places to visit nearby. We traveled with a three year old and they let us choose between additional bed or cod. They also run a little shop in the village were you can taste exceptional samples of local cold cuts and wines. The stay was one of the highlights of our two weak trip all around Italy.

Absolute stunning restored 15th century boutique Hotel. It was lovely to meet the owner Nicola who told us the history of the building. The only grandchild of a poor family whose grandfather worked in the basement in the winery for a wealthy Italian family and when they left it Nicola bought it. They took 12 years to restore the property and the result is stunning. A unique experience, very quiet location, perfect for a restful getaway. 5 stars to the chef, the food was perfect, best we have had on the road in the last 7 weeks, worthy of a Michelin star.
