- the key handover was easy, - we found a parking spot in the blue zone around the corner = not free, but cheap - wifi is excellent - the 'cornetto con crema' (creme anglaise) in the bakery was very good, the owner there was very friendly and a cheer-up in the morning (absolutely not annoying if you want to be left alone in the mornings)

Best location for Matera sightseeing. Close to any of historical place you have to see, to any of nice restaurants you have to try. It’s very romantic especially in the night. If you have a car(rental car) with you, by the way, Matera is also great location for visiting other Puglia cities such as Alberobello.

What a wonderful way to look back and understand the culture of the day (400 BC) in beautiful Matera. MOYΣEION recreates the experience with the design of the hotel, the people, food, pool, furniture, architecture, right down to the dinner plates, cups and cutlery. The staff are all trained in the fields they love - like archaeology and share the journey. They also demonstrate beautiful music using instruments of the day. It's incredible. On top of this, the chef does an amazing modern interpretation of food from 400BC. It is all very cool. It is totally worth going with the flow and fully embracing and immersing yourself in the experience. We did, and we were rewarded for it. Finally, the staff are exceptional. So kind and attentive. They make it perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful restored palazzo right in the centre of the charming town of Gravina. From the warm and friendly greeting, to the sparkling clean and stylishly decorated room, to the amazing breakfast freshly made by a talented in house pastry chef (the cube was one of the best pastries I've had in Italy!), we didn't want to leave. This is the definition of a historic boutique guesthouse, totally updated for modern day needs. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Grazie mille e a presto!
