The manager was very polite, helpful and informative. The rooms were priced reasonably. They were extremely clean and so was the toilet. The location is perfect, on the MC road, yet it was quiet in the rooms. This hotel exceeded our expectations

This place is like paradise on earth - just wow! We visited with our toddler and the place is perfect for it. The staff are amazing and so sweet and kind. The facilities are good and there is a lot to do. Very relaxing stay even with a toddler.

All of the food was outstanding. Every meal was different and well balanced and we learned so much about the variety of tastes and textures of Indian cuisine. The communal dining room is perfect to meet and chat to fellow travelers. The staff were amazingly professional and attentive, and we felt very well taken care of throughout - especially as they managed to accommodate us for an extra two nights at short notice. We stayed in 2 rooms while there: the first was one of the original 100-year-old rooms which had a gorgeous lake view and was all dark paneling; the second was a newer room which was spacious and beautifully appointed. The situation on the lake is perfect for peace and quiet but also good for reaching the beach, local shops, the backwaters and the airport (everything is between half an hour to 3 hours away).

This is truly a unique place to stay, which met our expectations. Vijo, Sam and Tom made it a memorable stay. Extremely welcoming and super friendly, we were made to feel at home. The food is excellent and dining is a communal affair with other guests, which is great as you can share tips on your trip. The gardens are lovely, the location a little out of the way but that is why we chose this homestay. Vijo has a selection of activities you can partake in. We did a few and loved the massage and cooking lesson. If you want a truly memorable experience which is chilled with good food, choose here!

Everything, amazingly beautiful property, fabulous interior design, wonderful service from the staff and great food. We also went to the beach at madurai one afternoon which was close by and a beach you don’t want to miss.
