Very clean hotel and beautiful rooms. The love snug was a great room and was great to use the sauna facility. Catherine was excellent and very friendly , making us feel welcome. The bubbly on arrival was lovely too!

We had such a wonderful stay at this lodge! The place is very cozy, spotless, and clearly well cared for. Since it’s run directly by the owners, the service feels personal and truly superb. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, making it very convenient. One thing that really stood out was the thoughtful touches: complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies, all refilled daily—something you don’t usually get at hotels. We booked this for our advance wedding anniversary and were greeted with a sweet little surprise, which made our stay extra special. We only paid a small amount for an additional chocolate treat, which was absolutely worth it. Breakfast was also fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from. You can really feel the love and care Rich and Ada put into running their lodge—it makes all the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake District!

Beautiful hotel, views from rooms, terrace and the surrounding area are second to none. All staff we had interactions with were helpful, informative and very friendly. The rooms are great, comfortable beds and the hot tub was a great addition. No issues with meals, very flavorful and definitely worth their prices.

Luxury Grand Hotel with a full historical background with an excellent value for money for this 4 Stars Hotel and Spa Resort owned by an English family for the last 70 years. Gymasium, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room are included in the price. Free mooring for the boat belongs to any of the hotel guests. The hotel also runs the Low Wood Bay Water Sports Centre with a private beach on the shore of the lake. Beautiful senary. Ample car parking. Two excellent fine dining restaurants. Everything is out of this world.

First class hotel with two excellent restaurants. Hotel is set in a gorgeous location. Bedroom well fitted with en-suite shower room. Staff very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Beautiful spa with two exterior infinity pools plus one indoor infinity pool. Another large pool with several saunas and steam rooms. Large variety of treatments offered in the Spa. Can recommend the all over body massage.

Loved nearly all parts of this stay. The staff, hot tub, bed, breakfast, location were all great. Coming back to a different towel design after room service each time was really fun. We had an extended stay as I had never been to Windemere and we hadn't been able to go on holiday for a few years at this point, and I felt like we had plenty to do (though we both enjoy walks) but with enough time to also properly relax in the spa room. Would definitely come back here again.

Second time here, staff are very friendly and they work so hard getting very think spot on for you. Nothing is ever too much for them. Absolutely beautiful place to relax and unwind, The bedroom was amazing from the spa bath to the sauna was amazing touch. Thank you 😊

The room was very clean and comfy, somewhat small but still decent value for the money. The location was perfect, close to loads of restaurants and grocery shops. Breakfast was included and very decent for the price and you could choose from a list the night before. Having use of the offsite spa was also a great touch, changing rooms were ok, but the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room were all clean and very relaxing
