We had such a wonderful stay at this lodge! The place is very cozy, spotless, and clearly well cared for. Since it’s run directly by the owners, the service feels personal and truly superb. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk to both Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, making it very convenient. One thing that really stood out was the thoughtful touches: complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cookies, all refilled daily—something you don’t usually get at hotels. We booked this for our advance wedding anniversary and were greeted with a sweet little surprise, which made our stay extra special. We only paid a small amount for an additional chocolate treat, which was absolutely worth it. Breakfast was also fantastic, with plenty of options to choose from. You can really feel the love and care Rich and Ada put into running their lodge—it makes all the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Lake District!

We had booked a double room with hot tub but were upgraded to a junior suite. Beautiful spacious room, lovely decor. Great friendly staff who kindly gave us a lift to the restaurant we had booked. Really lovely spa area with sauna, steam room and 2 jacuzzis...nice touch to have a bar poolside. Breakfast buffet offersd lots of choice.

When we arrived, we had been upgraded to a hot tub room due to it being our mini moon which was such a lovely surprise. We were immediately shown around the hotel & everything was explained to us which was a really personal touch. The spa was absolutely beautiful and having the pool side bar in there felt like a really nice luxury. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, there was so many options! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Mizumi restaurant was 10/10!!

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by staff who took our luggage, easy check in and was taken to our room. Room was stunning and very spacious pictures do not do it justice. Spotlessly clean and the spa facilities were perfect, sauna, steam room and cold plunge is a must. Two hot tubs one hot and one cool, we paid for massages on arrival and was not disappointed. Natasha who performed my lava shell back massage was very bubbly and polite. Staff were a bonus will definitely be coming back.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome to the hotel. We had breakfast and supper at the hotel. Breakfast was good and the Japanese restaurant was really nice. Spa has a steam room and a sauna, we went when it was quite so was ideal to relax in. In the middle of Windermere so the location is perfect. Already have planned to come back soon.

Third time staying here, always 10 out of 10. Staff are friendly, with a glass of prosecco on arrival (mulled wine at Christmas time). Rooms are really nice and clean (have only stayed in rooms with a hot tub). The hot tub on the balcony is good to relax in if that's what you like or you can go round the town which is only a 5 minute walk away. The best part is the pub/spa. All the luxuries of a spa but with the addition of a bar. Breakfast in the morning is really nice too.

We stayed on the first floor which was perfect. I liked the little gifts of products left by the maids on the bed. The breakfast was very tasty and catered for everyone. All rooms such as the cocktail bar and lounge were lovely to sit in. The bar was relaxing. The spa had a lot of facilities such as steam & saunas and had a very calming atmosphere. I liked the little basket in the room to use for the spa! The fusion restaurant is a must with sharing plates well worth a visit.

Lovely, quaint and delightful hotel in a stunning location. Lovely pool area, with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room and gym. We all had a lovely, relaxing and energising massage from Sharon. The roaring log fire, lovely breakfast, and attentive staff made this is a wonderful stay.
