The breakfast and all the meals at the hotel were truly excellent. I would encourage people to stay at this hotel for the food alone, but the staff were all courteous, effective and helpful. This is a fine example of a fine family owned hotel with excellent food. The location in a pretty village about 12 miles from downtown Freiburg was very good for walking and enjoying the open air life.

We were accommodated in 'Landhaus' which is a very spacious room that was well designed with a huge comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom. Although we didn't have breakfast, we did have our evening meals in the restaurant. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced. As part of the tourist tax we were given tickets for free travel on the local trains and busses. We caught the train from the local station (5 to 10 min walk) into Freiburg for the day - quick, easy and free! There is a honesty fridge in the common area with wine and soft drinks, a great idea. We had a great two night stay and would not hesitate in coming back!

The pool was amazing. Breakfast was nice, rooms with a lot of space, free parking, the view from the room was incredible. Good hotel for families with kids.

Stayed in the apartment block which was new and modern with all amenities. It was quiet even though my room was on the first floor. Lovely balcony to sit out in the evenings. I used this as a base to travel around the Black Forest area and visit the quaint towns in that region.
