I recently stayed at Hotel Blaue Gams, and it was a delightful experience. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the stunning views. Waking up to the breathtaking scenery was an absolute highlight and set a perfect tone for each day. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained. The decor was tasteful and complemented the natural beauty surrounding the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Everything was fresh and delicious, making for a great start to the day. I also had a very enjoyable dinner experience at the hotel’s restaurant. The menu offered a wonderful selection of dishes, and the quality of the food was impressive. The spa was another highlight of my stay. It was clean, well-equipped, and provided a perfect space to unwind after a day of exploring. The relaxation area, along with the sauna and other amenities, made it an ideal place to recharge. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Blaue Gams and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and great dining experiences.

The hotel is top quality. Starting with clean and cozy rooms, forthcomming and caring personnel ending with absolutely fabulous dinner. Greatly furnished rooms with large enough beds (I have difficulty with this in 90% of the hotels) were cherry on top. Gorgeous view from the balcony as well as high quality spa and tasty afternoon snacks were great surprises!

Very friendly staff who can provide good advice for transportation which saved me a lot of money. Very suitable for vegetarians, it served the best food in my Germany trip. The quality of dinner and breakfast were top notch!! Wonderful cakes and authentic Kaesespaetzle!! Perfect view of Ettal, even our driver was so impressed by its view there!

Unlike other places where the dogs are allowed, this hotel really welcomes pets. There was a dog bed and towel in our room. And water and food too. We were more than happy with this arrangement. Not only the our dog but also for us, it was an excellent stay. There is a wellness room with 3 different sauna and a very good restaurant. The breakfast was included for the price and had everything you need to start a day. If you travel your puppy highly recommended. We will definitely come back when we will be there next time.

We very much enjoyed the room & the breakfast (a very hearty breakfast). The spa including the pool, the sauna, and the massage were appreciated after a long 2 weeks of travel, hiking, and playing tourist. The proximity to the Ettal monastery and basilica (both located across the street) were the primary reason for staying at the Hotel Klosterhotel Ludwig der Bayer, so an outstanding hotel made the visit much more enjoyable.

Stylish Bavarian hotel located at countryside of Ettal. Great place for mental health and relaxation. Truly regret we could not enjoy the wellness & spa due to late night arrival (stayed just for one night during motorbike trip). Cowbell wakeup sound from roaming animals, great hospitality and rich tasty breakfasts will remain unforgettable moments of Blau Gams.

The staff was great and the room was amazing. There was also a sauna/relax area. The restaurant is good and offers a good view of the impressive monastery. Oberammergau, Schloß Linderhof and the Plansee are nearby. The breakfast options are good. If you want to have a bavarian breakfast, go for the white sausages with brezen (pretzels).
