Out of town but very quiet with beautiful views. Warm pool. Friendly staff. Coffee and tea 24/7. Only stayed for 1 night but it was a perfect start of our holiday. Costa Rican breakfast freshly prepared and lovely. Would always come back.

This is by far the best place to stay in SJ. Even better than the only 5* hotel in the city. 10' from the airport, everything is extremely clean, working properly, and has everything you need for a night before a long flight.

This little hotel is a complete gem. It is exactly as in the pictures .Wonderful first night in CR. A traditional building with lovely veranda under the trees. It is 600m (yes 600m) from the AVIS car rental office at airport but not under flight path so minimal noise. The garden is so beautiful, the rooms, restaurant and pool are simple but ample and clean. Staff helpful. Good directions for getting west/north . Already booked to return.

Stayed here on first night in Costa Rica after picking up hire car in nearby Belen depot. Comfy room, lovely gardens and setting. Safe neighbourhood (went for a run locally). Nice pool area too. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast (huge buffet spread) - really well set up, and great for the first night in a new country after a long day of flights to get there.

On the outskirts of San José, just a 10 minutes' drive from Juan Santamaria International Airport, Wyndham San Jose Herradura offers 3 outdoor pools and a casino.

The staff were awesome. Danny the bartender went out of his way to make my stay incredible, always going the extra mile with a smile on his face. Of course I cannot forget to mention the manager, he was always willing to help me in any way he could and I am so appreciative. There were activities every day that were awesome, especially if you wanted to meet other interesting travellers.
