I like everything about the hotel: it is a beautiful boutique hotel with beautiful rooms with stunning views, clean rooms, amazing facilities from the roof and indoor pool, yoga room, and Sauna, and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. I will come back again. WQe enjoyed every minute - I wish we could have stayed longer

Amazing staff, perfect breakfast (those waffles were something else!), a spotless pool with just the right water temperature, a great bar, and everything absolutely pristine. we enjoyed the location, the little and charming bungallows, the rich breakfast and the outstanding multilingual staff. Additionally, the activities to do are numerous (biking, hiking, kayaking...) if you would like to avoid the touristy Hallstadt. You can go by bike anywhere, even to hallsdtatt. We drove from Vienna to the localtion of the hotel. however, you can also arrive to hallstadt by train and then rent a bike to the place; or travel to town of Obertraun (Obertraun train station is 20 min walk from the hotel). The staff will recommend (and make the bookings fro you) at many great and good quality restauratnts.

Located in Ebensee, Hotel Hochsteg Gütl is an ideal starting point for excursions to the historic villages Hallstatt and Bad Ischl.

THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. Amazing food!!! Cool cultural program in the evenings (musical shows, silent disco in the bar :) ), you can join different training classes (HIIT, Fit body, Stretching...), wine and beer included at the dinner, comfortable big room. All the premises very well heated, maybe even too much (in March), going around in short sleeves. Only missing thing - billiard table. :)
