Scenically set by the Oppstrynsvatnet Fjord, the family-owned Hjelle Hotel rests in a lush garden surrounded by mountains. Jostedalsbreen National Park is 5 km away.

Stryn Ski Centre is 30 minutes’ drive away. Free parking is available at Hjelle Hotel. The location of this hotel is simply spectacular. The hosts Lorentz and Emma were super friendly and helpful. We were made to feel welcome and had a good breakfast at the hotel in the morning.

All units in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Elva Hotel also offer a mountain view. All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. The hotel was beautiful ad really unique. The stuff was helpful and nice and the view was breathtaking.

Store Ringheim’s restaurant is open on most days and serves a variety of homemade meals. Guests also have the hotel bar in which to relax after a day out in the surrounding mountains. It also has a garden. Reaaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyyyyy great experience of restaurant + stay. The staff is really nice and helpful. The surroundings are BEAUTIFUL and VERY CALM. It’s soothing and very much relaxing.

Overlooking the Lustra Fjord, these seaside cottages include a private terrace, kitchenette and free Wi-Fi access. Urnes Stave Church is 15 km away.

A seating area, dining area and flat-screen TV are featured in all two-floor cottages at Marifjøra Sjøbuer. Each cottage has a bathroom with a bathtub or shower. The location was perfect for day trips in the area. It was located on the water which was wonderful.

Communal facilities include a garden with playground and laundry facilities. Boats are available for rent on site. Staff can help arrange fishing, canoeing, skiing and other recreation.

Hiking and cross-country ski trails are found nearby, and a shop and gym are within 10 minutes’ walk. Everything and specially the family is friendly

If you would like to discover the area, hiking, skiing and cycling are possible in the surroundings. We spent three wonderful nights here in May. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and are equipped with everything you need. Cabins are heated with electric heat and there is also a wood stove if you’d like to have a fire. The location is fantastic – tucked away on a hillside overlooking the historic Stalheim Hotel and the surrounding mountains and an easy 15 minutes drive to Flam. Flam can be busy with tour buses and cruise ships; Stalheim feels like a world away from that. Marit was a great host. She greeted us when we arrived and gave us lots of great information about the area and suggested things to see and do. This place is really something special!

Guests at the holiday home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Stryn, like walking tours. Skiing, cycling and hiking are possible within the area, and Tømmerhuset på Brekketunet offers ski storage space. Our stay in Stryn was simply unforgettable. The house was perfect in every way—cozy, beautifully maintained, and with the most stunning views over the mountains and lake. Waking up to this scenery felt like a dream. The host Jarle was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly hope to return one day. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this amazing part of Norway!”

We definitely love the place and would recommend anyone to book Trollstova. Location is good and easy to find, space is big, very warm for autumn/ winter. Bathroom water pressure is amazing with heated flooring. We feel very at home and comfortable.

Skiing, cycling and hiking are possible within the area, and A home away from home offers ski-to-door access. We loved staying in this house. We stayed only for 2 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and has an amazing view. It was super clean and had all we needed, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels. Beds were very comfortable, which is important to us. Also, you can completely darken the rooms, another big plus. The communication with hosts was perfect. They are very thoughtful and provided a list of attractions, restaurants, and hikes in the area. That was really useful since the area has so much to offer and it helped us choose the activities for our limited time there. We went to Briksdalsbreen glacier. The house is near a ski resort, so it must be a great place to stay in the winter. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.
