Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Urasa Cottage @ Snow Countryside is a recently renovated country house situated in Minami Uonuma, 29 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort. The accommodation has a spa bath. The country house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Owner is a Singaporean. She is 10/10! Very kind and helpful. A very beautiful and fully equipped house. Owner upgraded our room, and we really grateful for that!

We stayed here with our family during a two-week road trip around Japan, starting in Tokyo and staying in six different places along the way. Out of all the accommodations we booked, Sundance Resort Naeba was our clear favorite by a huge margin. The unit is incredibly spacious, with a stunning two-story window overlooking the snow-covered mountains. When it snows, it genuinely feels like you’re looking out at a giant snow globe. The apartment had far more space than our family of three needed, featuring a master bedroom on the second floor, another bedroom on the first floor, and two beds in each room. Cleanliness was not an issue at all, the place was spotless. It’s also very well equipped, with a pantry, dining table, heated floors, two toilets (each with its own bathtub), and a laundry room on the first floor. Another highlight was the privacy: the building is divided into north and south wings, with only one unit per floor, making the stay feel very exclusive and peaceful. At night, the resort was wonderfully quiet and serene, likely because we were there at the very start of the ski season, before the crowds arrived and while many nearby businesses were still closed. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, warm, and attentive. They even spoiled my wife with sweets and snacks throughout our stay. As a bonus, our booking included a delightful breakfast each morning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was truly a fantastic and memorable stay Oh yeah there's free parking too for those driving up.

The hotel provides a sauna and a 24-hour front desk. Every single detail about this hotel is outstanding. This hotel is practically 5*. Sparkling clean, comfortable, beautiful, just perfect.

Boasting river views, Noka Minshuku Sanzen provides accommodation with balcony, around 24 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort. It is situated 47 km from Naeba Ski Resort and offers luggage storage space. The farm stay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. This quirky house has been lovingly restored and updated by Nobu and her family who live next door. The amount and types of wood used in the construction of the house is incredible, from the wooden staircase and hand-crafted hand rail, to the curved wooden bathroom, giving the feel that you are inside a barrel. It includes the washing machine, a huge shower room and separate, very snazzy toilet. With all mod cons, we had a very comfortable week here. Even the futons were OK for this old, unaccustomed body. The bedroom is covered in beautiful, traditional tatami. The 3rd floor loft has a hammock and chairs with lovely views of the countryside, which you can also enjoy from the dining table downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and basic condiments are provided (oil etc), so it was easy to self cater. The house has air conditioners upstairs and down as well as kerosene heaters so we were very cosy despite record amounts of snow. We parked directly out front and the watering hose did a good job keep the area clear of snow. The supplied snow shovel and brush were a life saver. Our host family were sweet, taking time to ensure we understood all the facilities and gave us gifts of local food.

Jigokudani Monkey Park is 44 km from Yado Brodiaea, while Ryuoo Ski Park is 44 km from the property. Matsumoto Airport is 106 km away. The personal was super kind and always happy to help. Recomend taking their offer for a ride to places. Fair price and very easy.

The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

He drove us to and fro to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort during our 2 Nights 3 Days stay. Thank again Satoshi san.
