This 3-star guest house offers luggage storage space and a shared lounge. The guest house has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and a shared kitchen. Location, staff, kitchen/common area and the private onsen. Parking lot was plenty. The hostess let us check-in early even though we arrived relatively early. The rooms were traditional style with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The property is modern, contemporary and clean. With a wonderfully calm atmosphere and great views of the near by hills and river. Each room has its own onsen on the balcony. The staff are friendly and so helpful. They even called ahead for us to see if some things we wanted to do were open. We can’t wait to come back!

This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. I loved the hot bath that was provided. The space was intimate and perfect for one/two people. The heater option was great after a long day in the cold.

Watanoyu’s miracle Onsen (skin was so soft after!), the beautiful rooms, the excellent meals (a must do!) and the warm hospitality of Miki and her team has made this an unbeatable experience. Location wise it’s also perfect to experience all that Kusatsu Onsen has to offer.

Offering river views, Minakamisansou is set in the Tanigawa Onsen district of Minakami, 36 km from Gala Yuzawa Snow Resort and 39 km from Naeba Ski Resort. Each accommodation at the 4-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath and an open-air bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We had a lovely view of the mountains. The private onsen was very nice, but the public onsen is very good as well! The staff is very nice and always accomodating. If you like traditional Japanese food, you'll love what they serve during the evening and morning. I recommend to stay at this ryokan either during fall (momiji) or winter. We were a bit too early for the heavy snowfalls, but still managed to catch some snow the second evening. Even without the snow it was lovely. I can imagine it looks amazing with the fall colors!

Gozanoyu, a hot springs bath facility is a 2-minute walk away while Ohtakinoyu is a 7-minute walk from the property. Sainokawara open-air bath is a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the property. Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort is 1.1 km from the property. We are impressed with everything about this property; Perfect location, welcome drinks, breakfast, private onsen, all facilities and all staffs

The ryokan features mountain views, an outdoor fireplace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. very large comfortable rooms with excellent river views, delicious meals, beautiful location and garden....plus..full sakura bloom during our 3 night stay!

A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The property is beautiful and serene. One of my best stays in Japan.
