With staff who can speak English at the counter. Explaining alot of the details when I go from hot spring to dinner. Staff have greeted us outside of the hotel road area to confirm of our arrival. Very lovely indeed and will recommend my family and friends who wanted to visit here.

The heater option was great after a long day in the cold.

The hotel itself is very charming, the bedroom incredibly beautiful with an amazing view, the bath really nice, had an amazing breakfast and most of all the host was truly amazing. If I come back to Kusatsu, I will definitely come back to this hotel.

The staff were excellent, there were limited English speakers but they did their best to make the stay as warm and welcoming as possible which was truly appreciated. Would highly recommend. They also have a shuttle bus that can take you from the nearby station in Minakami town directly to the onsen.

Kusatsu Kokusai Ski Resort is 1.1 km from the property. We liked everything! Such lovely hospitality! Fabulous breakfast! Really enjoyed the private Onsens! There are 4 that you can use anytime.

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. Very special place. Worth the money and travel.
