We were on the lower level, and in spite of concerns it would be cold during our winter stay it was very warm. In fact, the apartment is heated from floors, which means your feet stay warm too. Besides that… Kitchen is well equipped. Apartment is very clean and modern. Bathroom has new and high quality faucets. Traunkirchen is a very beautiful destination with a dozen of trails for hiking. The hosts were friendly. Unfortunately, we broke some glasses because it was a big company, but this was resolved in a very reputable manner. We would come back again!

In winter, the Feuerkogel Family Ski Area is 7 km away, and there are many Christmas markets in the surrounding towns and villages. Modern hotel with most if not all rooms facing the Traunsee lake. Modern room decor with all expected conveniences. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient parking right outside the front door for a fee. Otherwise, free parking a short walk away. Great breakfast buffet, with an incredible selection of cheeses. Good communication lines between hotel and guest ahead of check-in date.

In summer, guests can enjoy the private swimming area in nearby Riedl Park. Mountain bikes, e-bikes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent on site. The location is amazing - the views are so picturesque! The staff are very nice and friendly, and even helped us fix the wheelchair when my wheel fell off! They give you good advice on what to see in the area and coupons. From Traunkirchen you can easily reach all other lakes (if you want to). The new spa on the top floor is luxurious and breathtaking. Breakfast is very good! Coffee is great. Loved that you can install apps on the TV, so I could watch a live TV channel from home and watch the news. So cool! Fast Wi-Fi.

The view from the house was stunning with the lake and imposing mountains. You could sit on the terrace and have your breakfast looking at the incredible view. The house was very well equipped and pretty. The owners were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They picked us up from the train station. It was a short walk to the lake where you could swim. The village of Traunkirchen was not far to walk and from there you can catch a boat to Gmunden. They are a few cafes in Traunkirchen too. Traunkirchen is a pretty little village. It was nice to get away from the crowds in Vienna.
