The Gerlitzen-Kanzelbahn cable car is 800 metres away and the stop of the free ski bus can be found right in front of the hotel. A riding centre can be reached within a few minutes drive and the city of Villach is 10 km away. The hotel was easy to find--centrally located on the main road. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning actually worked, I was so thrilled (the other hotels on our trip had advertised air conditioning that didn't really work after all)!! The AC was fully adjustable in our room, so I sat there on the bed like a penguin that sits under the snow machine in the exhibit at the zoo; it was heaven. The breakfast was SO GOOD. Americans, this place had the crispiest bacon I have ever seen on the European continent. On our way to and from our room, we passed through a game room with foosball and pool tables, so naturally I challenged my husband to a game of pool (I won). There was on-site parking, and the connecting restaurant was also fantastic--we had dinner there. Our room also had a balcony which was nice. When we mentioned to the front desk upon checkout that we were going to the lake on our way out of town, they gave us a coupon so we wouldn't have to pay to go to the public beach.

We had such a perfect stay at FACT Apartments, hosts are truly kind and caring. The Apartment has everything you may need, including the dishwasher. Saunas are available in the garden area and could be shared among the guests, but it is also possible to have all the privacy needed, based on what you're looking for. I higly reccomend this location not only for its comfort but also and mostly for the owners kindness - as we arrived, we found bowls and snacks for our tiny wiener dog, too!

Parking was available right next to the house. We appreciated the private entrance and the private terrace. The kitchen was nicely equipped, and the beds were comfortable. It was close to the city center and shops. The main train station was about a 20-minute walk away.

If you would like to discover the area, skiing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the apartment can arrange a ski equipment rental service. The property is very clean and well appointed. From the condition of the furniture etc the apartment may be rather new. Everything was provided, including a bottle of wine when we arrived. The property is away from the city center and is very quiet. One does need a car to get groceries and get to restaurants. Please keep in mind that all stores in Austria are closed on Sunday so one must plan ahead. I did not have any contact with the host outside of e-mail, but all contact was fast and courteous.
