This is a beautiful hotel, clean, and with very friendly staff. It has private onsens as well as female and male ones. It's about a 10 min walk from the ski field and 5 mins from the bus station. The rooms are well heated and come with private bathrooms.

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station.

Wonderful family run Auberge with beautiful comfy beds overlooking the forest. Lovely baths with gorgeous toiletries. A little out of town but a shuttle is offered for transportation. Fabulous dinner with a very unusual but delicious wine pairings. Breakfasts were delicious.

This was the best accommodation of our trip to Japan. Great house, with everything you need. Very modern, exactly like as at the photos. The house is in a very quiet residential area, but you need a car as it is about 3 km to the city centre.

Everything! The onsen in the room was magical! The kimonos that were in the room for us to use were gorgeous! Really brought the Japanese experience up!

Very friendly and helpful staff with good communication. The hotel is very close to the station and you can book a tour with the hotel to Shirakawa Go or other spots near Takayama. The room was nice, tidy and at a really good price for the service. Would recommend!
