Sheraton Hotels in Makkah

The hotel charge rate was very reasonable considering it a 4 stars hotel (with facilities & ambiance of a 5 stars hotel). The room was large, with many drawers and compartments to store your things, many power socket points and large bathroom. Nice views as well with buildings and some hills in the horizon. No issues with regards to waiting time for lifts. Spacious restaurant with many seatings for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was awesome with many choices and fresh fruits. However for Asian guests, there weren't many food choices. The shuttle bus to Haram was always available but with some waiting time. The shuttle bus will bring you direct to an area behind the Clock Tower and beside Mankaren Ajyad hotel. However coming back to the hotel, you have to take this Qaid bus (awaiting the opposite of the drop-off area) which will bring you to the Kudai/Kudy Parking Area. Once you alight the bus, looks for Sheraton shuttle bus to bring you back to the hotel. Unfortunstely most of the time I could not find Sheraton shuttle bus. Hence I took a ride a on Millennium Hotel shuttle bus, which seemed to be okay with us sharing a ride. Anothet shuttle bus which you could ride on is from Park Inn hotel. Masjid Aishah Al Rajhi hotel was very near, where you could walk from hotel room within 5 minutes. We're told thst this mosque is within the Haraam boundary. If you wish to go for umrah via Tanaim, it might cost around SAR60 for taxis awaiting in front of the hotel. From the Masjidilharam back to hotel, you could also get a taxi costing around SAR20 during non-peak and SAR40-60 during peak time. Just behind the hotel, there's a Danube supermarket, quite large selling everything. A lots of fashion and perfume shops, an ATM, barber shop and 24hrs laundry services all within short walking distance. The hotel lobby had a lot of sofa where you could rest and have short chit chat with your group before going up to the rooms.
