Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. We chose this place for our first night on the Hawaiian Islands. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.

The units come with a microwave, fridge, a kettle, a shower, a hair dryer and a wardrobe. There is also a dining area and a fully equipped kitchenette with kitchenware. At the homestay, each unit comes with bed linen and towels. Wow, comfortable and so beautiful.

Beautiful cottage with incredible sunrise Location perfect if you want to be isolated from mass tourism. Very cosy place with nice host. I really enjoy the privacy and the comforts of the room. It is a nice getaway from home, peaceful and serene. I also like the open kitchen and patio area.

It’s definitely not the standard bed and breakfast. The owner is very attentive to make your stay comfortable and provides all those kind of stuff and treats that can help you feel at home. The house is very clean, even the shared bathroom. You have access to the living room to watch tv or make yourself some tea/coffe or you can rest in the porch. Breakfast is every day a surprise, prepared with fresh ingredients and creativity.

We arrived around 7:30 pm and were leaving early morning to catch a flight. The host still accommodated our laundry request (which was much needed prior to our next island hop). She provided us nearby restaurant recommendation which was perfect for our last night in Kona. The bed was very comfortable and everything was really clean! We got to play with the host’s cat as well. Highly recommend!

Some units have a balcony and/or a patio with mountain views. The lodge was fantastic and Agnes and Andrew are very friendly and helped us to find a quick and good solution to find a heather. They even left some fruits that we really enjoyed during our stay. The position is the best in the area. the sound of the forest is great and we will for sure come back.
