Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)

The remoteness of the place, the piece that one can find there, the nature/wildlife (we saw sloth right next to the path), the food, the attentiveness of the hosts, the build/decoration and surroundings - everything was done in the traditional style. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his kindness, warmth, and attention to detail. The cabins are brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped—sharp knives, quality cookware, a coffee machine, and even reusable water bottles to help reduce waste. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor living space is perfect for relaxing. We loved being surrounded by nature—waking up to the sounds of monkeys, spotting sloths in the trees, and seeing toucans and flying toads right outside our window. The beach is stunning, and David even provided beach mats and bags to make our days by the ocean even better. He went above and beyond, offering to bring us groceries from town and sharing great conversations over a beer, making us feel like old friends.

This recently renovated apartment features a building dating back to 2019, which is a few steps from the Carenero Beach. All rooms are fitted with a patio with garden views. Property is located in smaller island (Isla Carenero) across the main island of Isla Colon ,five-minute boat ride from main port. Nice dock and seating areas, small convenience store for basics, good amount of tropical trees around buildings providing shade from sun. The units were top-notch, fully equipped (kitchen, AC, smart TV) with a lot of space including living room area and patio area. Property manager on site to handle any questions, issues, and help with tour planning.
