The night was super clear and the full moon, and all the stars were out. When I walked the property the next morning I found treasures of a little herb garden, figs,, grapes, blackberries, flowers. We loved the visit from the ducks walking by. The studio had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, sweet little kitchenette, nice bathroom, everything super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a wonderful addition. The selection of fruit, the cereals, the bread and spreads, the fresh milk and juice, the selection of teas and coffee, all were sweetly prepared for us. We felt welcome and appreciated as guests. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

I only booked an hour beforehand so it wasn’t surprising that when I arrived, the host (Andy) was not expecting me. No problem; despite enjoying a large family feast / party to celebrate his son going off to university, I was quickly shown to my room . . . which did indeed, have wonderful views across the bay and of the Auckland SkyTower. The room was pretty large with an en-suite bathroom and a large walk-in wardrobe. Although I was sharing the kitchen with the family, it never felt awkward and where the guests cutlery, crockery, glassware, etc. was kept was all clearly marked.
