Urania is a hotel resort located near the beach. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchen and a living room with a sofa, satellite TV and a telephone. Parking is also available. Resort Urania really surprised me in a good way. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that was spacious enough for 4 people. The apartment’s equipment was unbeatable – the resort really thought of everything. The rooms were clean, and while cleaning was done on request, you could change the sheets yourself whenever needed (I don’t see that as a minus). Breakfast was very rich, with something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients was high, and the fruit selection was one of the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Dinner was the same story – very tasty food, a wide selection, grilled dishes on the terrace, and a large variety of desserts – and not just different puddings or jellies in cups like you often get in supposedly “higher-class” hotels. These were real baked cakes and pastries. Within the hotel grounds there’s a perfect children’s playground, big enough so it doesn’t get boring quickly, and our son really spent a lot of time there. You could reach the beach within a few minutes, it was really just a short walk. There was plenty of space on the beach, it didn’t feel crowded at all. Note – it’s a public beach, so umbrellas and sunbeds are only available for a fee, and the price was quite high (around 15 euros for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella). There were plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

The location was great, near the center, the beach and the supermarket. It was very clean and the host was very very nice. Makarska is a great location for a holiday.

Great location, few meters from the sea. Apartment well equipped on the highest level of clanliness.The cleaning staff kept our room spotless. The service was top-notch. Mira was so attentive to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel based on the service, location and accomodation.
