Our stay at Ungava Retreat was incredible. Travelling from Australia, we were completely blown away by the design of the place—it was even better than the photos suggested and made for the perfect romantic getaway. The absolute highlight was the wildlife coming right up to the window, which created a truly magical and unforgettable experience. Ungava Retreat is a hidden gem that we couldn't recommend more highly!

A hidden gem in Marloth. Everything was just perfect: the food (book diner, it is delicious and the setting is so romantic! ), the cottage :beautifully decorated and so comfortable, Linday who manages the lodge is the sweetest person I have ever met. She puts her heart and soul in what she does. I felt really special. A bonus is the animals you see roaming in the garden. During the evening we saw busbabbies (a very special sighting). Marloth itself is also much more than expected. You can walk or drive along the river and you see all the animals along the riverside (Kruger np is just next to Marloth)

An absolute hidden gem. Lovely room, beautifully decorated with all you need. Great for access to Kruger. Nicolette couldn’t do more for us even before we arrived, arranging game drives and transfers. Issac was absolutely amazing and so helpful during our stay. We had dinner here and the food was also incredible! Thank you!

The location was very good. The house was the most comfortable and well-equipped self-catering accommodation that we have ever experienced. We thought the kitchen facilities were particularly good, as were the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. We loved the verandah and the number of animals that visited. The host kindly arranged for animal feed to be delivered and we had: kudu, bushbuck, zebra, wildebeest, duiker, impala, warthog, mongoose and two types of bushbaby.

A small well-located unit within some big trees and a splash pool as a bonus. It was easy to find and available on short notice. Daily service is a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and you can cook and oven well as well as everything else for self-catering. Very nice small kitchen with big fridge. Washing up a bit small (double basin) could be nice.

Chip n Deb have a really great set up for a self catering holiday home, we lacked for NOTHING in the well equipped kitchen, loved the pool area and outdoor entertainment area, comfortable beds, really and truly no comment to make any improvements, great job Chip n Deb! God willing we will be back soon :)

No breakfast - self catering. Kitchen had all utensils and necessities. Bedroom is nicely decorated and comfortable. Feeding of animals. Outdoor area is sociable.

The cottage is an absolute gem! It exceeded our expectations on so many levels. Loved the kitchen! It has everything you need for a self-catering place. You get you money's worth here. Enjoyed the wildlife as well. Darren is an excellent host. She catered to all our needs and made sure we had a pleasant stay. Wished we could’ve extended our stay.
