We loved this beautiful and private house with its magnificent views of bush, wildlife and birdlife. We especially enjoyed the glorious sunsets and stargazing from the veranda and had the option of doing so from the fire-driven hot tub. A fire pit is also located below. The owners provided wood for the barbecue and tub. The house has two very spacious bedrooms - both with bathrooms with tubs and walk-in showers - and super comfortable beds. The kitchen is big and well stocked with nearly every amenity including an ice maker. The owners warned us of a pot-hole ridden kilometre or so of road to the house, but it was easily nagivated with a regular car. The town of Winterton is about 10-15 minutes' drive and has a couple of stores if you run short of self-catering supplies. Wine and beer is also available in the house and payable via an honesty box. Details of trail walks and runs are also in the house for more athletic types. Cathedral Peak Wine Estate is 5 minutes away for wine tastings and food. Loved our stay!

Apartment was very clean and comfortable, the locations was stunning -really amazing to be able to see the wildlife from the windows and to be able to walk around the farm for closer looks! The hosts were absolutely lovely! Sandra gave us our own private tour on arrival and very kindly gave us some wine/beer! Was also excellent location for the balloon ride and walks around Drakensberg. Would recommend to anyone.

We loved the spaciousness of the unit and the fact that it was pet friendly. The yards are also very spacious. We also enjoyed being off the grid and not experiencing loadshedding.

Everything. It's modern, clean. Much better than than some expensive places I've booked. Honestly it's the in town. Owner very accommodating. Plenty of privacy. And the owner has good interior design taste.
