Nice and quite comfortable house, with big panoramic windows. Well-equipped kitchen with tons of complementary things: wine, coffee, milk, sugar. Pleasant pool, which was cleaned even when we stayed. Manager Paula was very helpful.

Very nice chalet located in a calm area, where guests can enjoy nature and beautiful views. The chalet is equipped with everything needed for cooking. There is good internet and a TV. All rooms have air conditioning in case the temperature gets really high. We were lucky — it wasn’t too hot, and simply opening the windows was enough to keep a comfortable temperature. There is a barbecue zone. The owner responded quickly to any questions that came up during our stay. The beach is just 6 minutes away by car, so the family can enjoy swimming or relaxing on a SUP. A small town, Montalegre, is 13 minutes away by car and offers some cafes and restaurants. There are also some small local restaurants near the chalet. Porto and Braga are about 1.5 hours away by car — both are very interesting cities and worth a visit. If you're looking for a calm vacation, this place is for you.

Casa Fonte Fria is located in a beautiful village. There are plenty of walks around Pitoes das Junias with the old monastery and cascades close by. In the evening we walked in to the village itself and had a great meal in the Restaurante Dom Pedro Pitoes. The hosts communicated well with us via WhatsApp and if travelling and walking in this region of Portugal again we would certainly book Casa Fonte Fria once again.
