Tiago is a phenomenal host with a property that is perfect for a few days in Obidos where you can park and just walk around to the nearby points of interest. He really cares that you experience the location and goes out of his way to accommodate your comfort and convenience with a million recommendations and historical info. The property itself is very clean and comfortable even in the cold, rainy season and we made some use of the well-stocked kitchen when we didn't want to go out. The loft is a little hazardous for little kids but wasn't a big deal for us..it isn't a very private apartment but a couple would love this location especially. More seating in the living room would be nice for more than two people. You can walk just a few hundred meters to get into the village and we enjoyed every every day spent walking all over the neighborhoods in there, even with the spotty rain.

We've rarely had such a wonderful place to stay; and Sam and Rich are truly special (in the best possible way) hosts! After booking, we received regular, friendly emails from them about our reservation. The last one asked: Do you have any allergies? They wanted to leave a little "welcome gift" in your apartment. What we hadn't expected upon arrival was this: - A cute welcome sign (see photos) - A fully stocked refrigerator - Wine - Fresh bread - Fresh fruit - Snacks and sweets - The pellet stove was filled, and they kept replenishing it throughout the stay. It was absolutely amazing! The entire complex consists of six apartments, ours being the smallest. However, it was perfectly adequate for our needs. The apartment itself was very cozy and furnished and decorated with great attention to detail, reflecting the Mediterranean flair of the entire complex. We traveled a lot, but always looked forward to returning to our little oasis of well-being. If the weather fits, you can even sit out on the padio with other guests and enjoy / share a glas of wine, some cheese and talk about all kind of things... ;-) On the second-to-last morning, Sam stopped by and gave us some warm, homemade scones for breakfast... Just because... ;-) And they were sooooo delicious! Sam and Rich are truly wonderful hosts who run the entire place with such passion and dedication, it's really lovely to see! The whole place, including the buildings, garden, etc., exudes a wonderful sense of calm and tranquility, perfect for escaping the stresses of everyday life. We'd love to come back and tell everyone who asks about our last holiday in Portugal that they absolutely should spend a few days with Sam and Rich! Keep up the great work, you two, and we'll definitely be back!

For self catering it has everything you need. The main room is large and both the main room and bedroom have great views and small terraces to sit out and have a drink. The host, Tiago, was very welcoming and was always available if we had any queries or to offer suggestions. The apartment is located just outside the town walls which makes it easy to reach every part of the medieval town through the various gates.

An exceptional host! Francisco was so friendly and welcoming, and has taken a lot of time and trouble with his accomodation. It's a complete house with a kitchen and washing machine, plus two bathrooms. It's literally five minutes walk from the walled city, which you can also see from the patio. A memorable stay!

Our host made us feel very welcome and made a big effort to ensure we were well informed on what the property, town and region has to offer. There online guide was a helpful reference tool. The bed was very comfortable, the location is close to town but very quiet so sleep was a breeze. We loved the welcome gift. The kitchen was well appointed which allowed us to cook in the property. Parking was right outside.
