The kitchen was very complete and the pantry was well very well equipped with most things you need for dinner/breakfast. Vickie was very kind and we felt very welcome. Playing with their dog was an extra bonus. Thank you very much.

The lovely manager of the property made everything relaxed and easy, including our unplanned late arrival around 2am. The property is a NZ motel, which means it is a type of unit with its own kitchen, and an informal personality that is quite unlike chain hotels. The location right on the beach with views across the water and up the coast feels like a place far away from city life. The beach is rocky, and not really suitable for swimming (unless perhaps with rubber aqua footwear) but good for strolling with a mug of coffee, fossicking for driftwood and shells. The unit was warm with the heating on and the excellent beds have electric blankets as well.

The property was super clean and definitely lived up to its cozy name! Unfortunately, our flight got in late so we didn’t get to spend much time here, but we were very comfortable and thankful for a good night of sleep.

Surrounded by bushland Brookby Motel offers accommodation 5 minutes' walk from Thames shops, restaurants and cafes. Free car parking is available outside each room.
