We have been travelling in Iceland for 3 weeks and have stayed in some outstanding (plus a couple of not quite outstanding) accommodations. The Lake House is by far our favourite. The view from the conservatory and the deck were exceptional. We decided to take a ‘rest day’ here to just enjoy the view, the peace and the hot pot. It was great having access to coffee, herbs and spices left by the owners to use in our meal prep. Access was very easy with the lockbox. The heating was already on for us which was greatly appreciated. Btw I loved the swans in the pond. 😂

Pleasant and well-equipped accommodation in a wooden cottage within the grounds of an Icelandic farm. Kind hosts, beautiful views of the surroundings and good access to tourist destinations. I can only recommend it.

Everything was perfect. The people there are welcoming and friendly. Loads of space to park. Dinner was really nice. Easily the best view we had from any accommodation during our time in Iceland (which is really saying something because it's a beautiful country). The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could possibly have wanted. We used the hot tub and sauna shortly after we arrived which was just perfect after our long journey.

The view and the location are amazing. The fact that we can see the mountains from one window, the ocean from another and it is also a perfect spot to see the Northern Lights make it unbeliably lovely. 10/10, would come back to it anytime!

The whole place is not just a farm with cabins, it's a complex with a wonderful view to a waterfall, a walking path with trolls histories, a restaurant and hot tubs for guests. The cabins are very cute, ours in particular was super cozy and warm. We had all that we needed. The check in was super easy and the woman at the front desk was super kind to us.
