The cottage has been very tastefully done up whilst retaining so much of it's original character and the owners Jo and Martyn had thought about absolutely everything to make our stay as welcoming as possible with a few little treats on top, it is warm cosy with plentiful hot water and a well equipped kitchen for those that like to cook on holiday, we loved it so much we are planning to go back next year! Talgarth is an ideal place for people like ourselves that like to ditch the car and explore the area on foot with easy access to the black mountains and many other beautiful walks straight out of the village. There are many areas of beauty close by if you prefer to go further afield to explore! There is a very interesting working mill at the rear of the property with an amazing history which the original owner and the volunteers on site were more than happy to talk to us about and the fresh bread from the bakery is delicious. There is also a butchers, green grocers and a local co-op in the village which catered for all our needs and the food in the pub was delicious though booking is recommended as it is very busy! There is also a fish & chip shop if you prefer to grab a takeaway.

What a lovely find! Great location, great facilities, super clean and welcome! My family loved staying here for 2 nights. We slept very well, comfortable bed and all the little treats of a 5 star place! The ice cream shop is a must! And so is the coffee/ book place nearby. We went there everyday and really enjoyed it! 5 stars!!!

Everything was perfect, it looks better than in the photos. Jos is an absolute pro, the one thing we didn't have in the cottage was a corkscrew which he dropped off on our doorstep. Booking.com needs an 11th star for properties like this, one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in 💯

Very convenient location for one night stay on way to Swansea - easy to find and park. Well equipped for self catering and only a short walk to a co-op store. Pleasant helpful staff.

Lovely warm welcome from Sharon. All facilities were superb and the bed was very comfortable.There was a super bathroom with shower and also a well equipped kitchenette stocked up with everything we could possibly need for a great breakfast. The studio flat was spotlessly clean throughout, tastefully decorated and looked out on to a patio garden. Quiet and private and just what we needed for a break en route to our holiday in Anglesey. Many thanks for your warm hospitality so greatly appreciated.

Lovely little 'studio apartment' in the middle of the brecon beacons, consisting of bedroom/sitting room, small, modern kitchenette and good sized shower room. The kitchen was stocked with tea/coffee and everything needed for a continental style breakfast (plus mince pies - it was just after xmas when we visited). It was clean and comfortable, and the owner came in and tidied while we were out, leaving clean towels. In the evening there was enough light to read by, and the TV had Sky on it.

Everything was fantastic, the cottage was in a lovely peaceful location with local village a 5 min drive. Everything in the cottage was immaculate and Faye has thought of all the small touches. The kitchen was well stocked with just about everything you could need, just wish we had been staying longer! Thank you Katy and Andrew x

Our host provided pure Welsh hospitality: brilliand breaskast, extensive local knowledge, immaculate room as a separate out building, fully kitted kitchen, modern bathroom with brilliant shower, super comfy bed. Wonderful!
