Casa Chilamates is a lovely house set amongst the nature of Tortuguero where you can enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings full of wildlife. Rodrigo and his wife are perfect, friendly hosts. They live in the neighbouring property and are easy to communicate with at all times. Set on the edge of the village right next to the national park. We saw several monkeys and wildlife from the terrace. We booked excellent trips with Rodrigo who runs the Trips Navitos guided tours. Local guide Gabriel met us at the house for each trip and was an enthusiastic guide throughout our stay. Tortuguera was our favourite stay in Cost Rica and Rodrigo made our trip so memorable. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in town so didn't need to use the kitchen facilities. A place to make great memories.

Tortuguero is a very unfortunate name for such a special place, but yes, it was named the place to kill turtles. It is a small place where everything is in a walking distance, once you arrive with the boat. The house is nice, with a garden and a cat. Space is fine, but with 4 people, it requires some logistics, specially to access the toilet. Kitchen is good and with all necessary tools. Internet is also fine. The hostess is nice and very helpful. We bought some tours with the associated partner and kudos to Fabian! What a nice guy!

Caiman 3 is a nice, clean little apartment. They also have larger ones, Caiman 1 and 2. Best of all was the owner Carlos and his son Steven, who were more than happy to show their guests around Tortuguero, arrange trips, and everything else one might need or be interested in; Carlos would help arrange it promptly! Highly recommend this place!

Brilliant hospitality! The owner is so helpful, and will ensure your transfer from La Pavona is seamless. Tour arrangement is also perfect, friendly and helpful. Go with it for a relaxed stay in a unique place. A convenient house, right in the middle of the village. Also, the sushi restaurant just around the corner (owned by the owner of this house) is excellent!

Very welcoming owner Idalia (Lali) is also an excellent night guide for turtle tours. She is very helpful also with arranging different kinds of transport or services, and even kindly did our laundry. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook every day, and one room had a welcome AC unit. There are so many beds in this house, you could comfortably host a VERY large family!

This was easily one of the best places I've ever stayed at when traveling. It's only a few steps away from the ocean, you can hear it (even when the AC is on) going to to bed and waking up. The terrace is really nice also and you're in town in no time by foot. I had a small "kitchen", don't expect a lot of it, but for me it worked just fine. Very nice and helpful host. I would come back here in a heartbeat. I was here in temporada baja so the price was really good too.

Oscar is a very good host. Helpful for all questions. Good advice for excursions and the boat back to Pavona. The accomodation was spacy and the patio fine. Good kitchen. All very clean.
